Description
The Lee Factory Crimp Die is a single-die reloading tool purpose-built for the .458 SOCOM cartridge. Part of Lee’s Factory Crimp series, this die applies a precise, uniform crimp to the case mouth so the bullet is held to the proper depth and case pressure is optimized at ignition, producing more consistent velocity and accuracy from AR-platform handloads.
Machined from high carbon steel for long service life, the die is threaded to the industry-standard 7/8×14 pattern used across modern reloading equipment. That standard threading allows it to drop into any press from Lee, Dillon, Hornady, Lyman, or RCBS. It accepts a maximum case trim length of 1.575 inches, matching the standard trim-to dimension used for .458 SOCOM reloads.
This listing is for the Factory Crimp Die only – a single die sold individually, intended to be added to an existing .458 SOCOM die set or used as a dedicated crimping step in the reloading workflow. A shell holder cap is not included.
