The Chiappa Firearms 1887 is a faithful reproduction of the original lever-action shotgun widely regarded as the first successful repeating shotgun ever produced. Chiappa builds this modern 12 Gauge rendition on a classic lever-action platform with traditional styling and contemporary manufacturing, chambered for 2.75″ shells and offering a 5+1 capacity from its internal tube magazine.
The action is a lever-action driven by a single-stage trigger and protected by an integrated hammer safety. The steel receiver wears a traditional color case hardened finish that highlights the classic character of this platform, while the 28″ blued steel smooth-bore barrel is threaded for Rem Choke compatibility and ships with three choke tubes included: F, M, and IC.
A fixed hand-oiled walnut stock paired with a matching walnut forend completes the traditional look, finished in the brown wood tone the platform is known for. A simple bead sight sits up front for fast target acquisition. The shotgun is set up for right-hand operation, weighs 9.30 lbs, and has an overall length of 45″.
