Description
The Colt CR6762 M4 Carbine is an M4-pattern, AR-15-style centerfire rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm. Its direct-impingement gas system, internal hammer and mil-spec single-stage trigger provide familiar semi-automatic operation for general sporting and shooting use. The rifle has a 30+1-round capacity and includes one detachable 30-round metal AR-style magazine.
The 16.10″ chrome-lined M4-profile barrel, which falls within the 16″ to 16.99″ barrel-length range, has a phosphate finish and 1:7″ twist. An A2-style birdcage flash hider completes the muzzle. The sighting arrangement combines an adjustable A2-style front post with a folding Magpul Gen2 MBUS rear sight. No carry handle is included. Additional model-specific features include a front barrel/bayonet lug, cartridge-case deflector and ejection-port cover.
The upper and lower receivers are made from 7075-T6 aluminum with a black hard-coat anodized finish. Black synthetic furniture consists of a four-position telescoping stock and drop-in clamshell-style handguard. The right-handed control layout includes a manual two-position thumb safety.
