Description
The Colt Gold Cup Trophy is a competition-tuned .45 ACP 1911-pattern SAO semi-automatic pistol built around a match-grade 5″ stainless steel barrel with an 8+1 capacity. The pistol pairs a stainless steel frame with an extended beavertail and a serrated stainless steel slide, delivering the classic 1911 profile with a refined competition fit and finish.
Sighting is set up for fast, precise target acquisition: a Novak fiber optic front sight pairs with an adjustable Bomar rear sight on a low-mount platform. The grip frame carries a set of Competition Blue G10 grip panels with an aggressive checkered pattern and scalloped profile for a secure hold under recoil. Manual-of-arms follows the traditional 1911 layout, with a thumb safety and a grip safety integrated into the beavertail. Empty weight is 38 oz, with an overall length of approximately 8.5″.
Purpose-built for personal protection and sport shooting, the Gold Cup Trophy is equally at home on the bullseye line, in a USPSA box, or as a premium carry-grade 1911. This is new current-production Colt.
