The Federal Premium Safari Trophy Bonded Bear Claw load is centerfire rifle ammunition developed for hunting large, heavy, and dangerous game. Chambered in 416 Rem Mag, it combines a 400 gr Trophy Bonded Bear Claw jacketed soft-point bullet with an advertised muzzle velocity of 2400 fps and muzzle energy of 5115 ft lbs.
The bullet has a bonded copper jacket and lead core designed for controlled expansion, deep penetration, and more than 95 percent weight retention. Its published ballistic coefficient is .373. This Federal Premium Safari load was formerly identified by the Premium Cape-Shok designation and is suitable for hunting and target use.
Each loaded cartridge uses a nickel-plated brass case with a Boxer primer. The ammunition is reloadable and non-corrosive, and the primer is lacquer-sealed against moisture. It is made in the USA and offered in New condition.
