Description
The Federal Premium Safari Cape-Shok Trophy Bonded Sledgehammer Solid is centerfire rifle ammunition developed for safari and dangerous-game hunting. Chambered in 470 Nitro Express, each cartridge carries a 500 gr Trophy Bonded Sledgehammer Solid projectile.
The flat-nose bullet uses a core bonded to a thick brass jacket and features a grooved shank. Each cartridge is assembled in a nickel-plated brass case with a Federal Gold Medal primer.
This load has a listed muzzle velocity of 2150 fps and muzzle energy of 5132 ft lbs. It is intended for hunting, including demanding safari and dangerous-game applications.
