The Federal Training load is .223 Remington centerfire rifle ammunition developed for target shooting, competition, and long-range shooting. Each cartridge is loaded with a 55 gr full metal jacket bullet.
Federal lists an advertised muzzle velocity of 3,240 fps and muzzle energy of 1,282 ft lbs. The bullet has a 0.269 ballistic coefficient, a 0.735″ bullet length, and a 55 gr bullet weight.
This new-production ammunition uses reloadable brass cases with Boxer primers. Its bulk packaging is suited to extended range sessions and competition use.
