It features a shortened grip, snag-free low-profile sights and is perfect for every-day carry especially with in-the-waist holsters. The 509 Compact is equipped with 3.7 inch military-grade barrel, and comes with one 12 round magazine and one 15 round magazine, but also accepts the high-capacity 24 round magazine with the appropriate adapter sleeve. In addition, the 509 Compact features enhanced texturing on the 2 included, interchangeable back straps and has fully ambidextrous controls.
