German WWII 7.92×57mm Mauser (8mm Mauser) ammunition — brass cased with a steel core — is typically found in the surplus market as s.S. (schweres Spitzgeschoß) “heavy spitzer” ball ammunition. This type was the standard infantry load for the Karabiner 98k and MG34 / MG42 machine guns. These come in 300 round battle packs.
