The ELD-X (Extremely Low Drag – eXpanding) bullet features a streamlined boat-tail profile with a .284″ diameter that delivers a ballistic coefficient of .630 and a sectional density of .287, helping handloaders achieve flat trajectories and strong retained energy at extended ranges. The concentric jacket produced via the AMP process promotes both match-grade accuracy and uniform expansion on impact.
At impact, the ELD-X’s thick jacket shank combined with Hornady’s signature InterLock ring initiates controlled expansion across a wide velocity window, making this bullet a strong choice for hunters who need one projectile that performs from close-range shots out to long-range distances.
