Hornady Custom loads the legendary Super Shock Tip (SST) bullet in this 6.8mm Remington SPC hunting round. Built on the foundation of Hornady’s famous Interlock hunting bullet, the SST pairs a sharp tip with a secant ogive, boat-tail spire point profile that increases the bullet’s ballistic coefficient, producing flatter trajectories and higher retained velocity downrange.
Each projectile launches at 2460 fps from the muzzle, generating 1612 ft lbs of muzzle energy. On impact, the tip initiates controlled expansion at all velocities, while the signature Interlock ring mechanically locks the core and jacket together so the bullet retains the mass and energy needed for dramatic wound channels. The result is a 120 gr hunting bullet that travels faster, hits harder, and expands reliably.
Loaded in brass cases and tailored for the hunting field, this round is purpose-built for the 6.8 SPC platform. Each box contains 20 rounds, and a full case holds 10 boxes (200 rounds) so you can stock up for the season.
