The Hornady Dangerous Game load is factory-loaded centerfire rifle ammunition for hunting large and dangerous game. Chambered in 416 Rigby, it pairs a 400 gr Dangerous Game Solid (DGS) bullet with a brass case.
Hornady constructs the DGS bullet with a hard antimony-and-lead alloy core enclosed in a copper-steel jacket. This solid design is intended to provide deep penetration through thick hide, dense muscle, and hard bone when pursuing dangerous game.
Published muzzle performance is 2415 fps and 5179 ft lbs. The 400 gr DGS bullet has a .319 G1 ballistic coefficient and .330 sectional density. This is New ammunition.
