The Hornady Match 338 Lapua Magnum 285gr ELD Match is factory-loaded centerfire rifle ammunition developed for target and match competition. Each cartridge pairs the 338 Lapua Magnum cartridge with a 285 gr ELD Match projectile.
The Extremely Low Drag Match bullet uses a Heat Shield tip, consistent meplat, streamlined secant ogive, optimized boat tail, concentric AMP jacket, and precision-swaged lead core. Its published ballistic coefficients are .789 G1 and .394 G7, with a .356 sectional density.
Published performance includes a Muzzle Velocity: 2745 fps and Muzzle Energy: 4768 ft lbs. Hornady selects cases for wall-thickness uniformity, internal capacity, weight, and concentricity, while the powder is matched to the load for consistent pressure and velocity.
This is New, non-corrosive ammunition loaded with Boxer primers in reloadable brass cases. It is available by the box for range or competition use, or by the case for a larger ammunition supply.
