Description
The Magpul Industries MS1/MS3 QD Sling Adapter (model MAG517) is a purpose-built quick-detach accessory that converts a two-point MS1 or MS3 sling into a one-point carry configuration. Pair the MS1 or MS3 sling with an additional paraclip and this adapter, and the user can transition between one and two-point carry without removing the rifle.
The adapter is built around a push-button QD sling swivel housed in a steel body with a manganese-phosphate finish, paired with lightweight polymer hardware. The Stealth Gray finish gives the adapter a subdued appearance on most rifle builds. Designed and Made in the USA to Magpul’s standard for sling components.
Installation is straightforward: run the tail end of the MS1 sling (the end fitted with the two Fit Buckles) through the adapter’s D-ring, then attach the paraclip to the front sling mount and the QD swivel into the rear socket. The push-button QD allows fast, tool-free removal of the rifle from the sling system whenever needed. Sling and paraclip are sold separately.
