The Riley Defense RAK-47 is an American-made, California-compliant recreation of the classic AK-pattern rifle, built around a 16.25″ chromoly steel barrel and a steel receiver finished in black oxide. Measuring 35.25″ overall, this RAK-47 captures the timeless silhouette of the iconic AK while meeting California feature requirements.
Chambered in 7.62x39mm and fed by a reduced-capacity 10-round detachable magazine, this semi-automatic rifle delivers a 10+1 capacity suitable for target shooting, hunting, and recreational use. The gas-operated action cycles reliably across a wide range of ammunition, and a lever safety provides familiar AK-style control. Right-hand configuration keeps the rifle aligned with the platform’s standard ergonomics.
Furniture consists of genuine laminate wood in a classic brown finish: a fixed buttstock, upper and lower handguards, and the traditional shark fin pistol grip that gives the RAK-47 its unmistakable profile. The metal finish is blued/black, contrasting nicely with the warm wood tones. Up top, adjustable iron sights are ready for immediate use or easy co-witnessing with mounted optics.
Configured for California compliance, the RAK-47 CA model pairs its fixed laminate stock and 10-round magazine with the rugged reliability AK shooters expect. One magazine is included. Transfer through a valid FFL dealer is required.
