Description
The Savage 93R17 BTVSS is a bolt-action rimfire rifle chambered in 17 HMR, purpose-built for hunting and target shooting. It pairs a satin stainless steel receiver, drilled and tapped for scope bases, with a 21″ heavy button-rifled stainless barrel and a natural brown thumbhole laminate stock.
The button-rifled barrel features a 1:9″ twist optimized for the flat-shooting 17 HMR cartridge, and its heavy contour keeps barrel whip to a minimum. Both the barrel and receiver wear a satin stainless steel finish that shrugs off weather and field abuse.
Savage’s user-adjustable AccuTrigger lets shooters dial their preferred pull weight without touching the sear, and a manual thumb safety sits just ahead of the trigger. The Full Size configuration yields a 40″ overall length and a weight of about 7.25 lbs; the rifle ships with no iron sights installed.
A detachable rotary magazine feeds the action with a 5+1 capacity. The thumbhole laminate stock delivers a comfortable comb height for scope use and a secure grip, finished in natural brown with visible lamination layers.
