Description
The Sierra 1100 Varminter is a thin-jacketed, soft-core varmint bullet designed for use in classic small-capacity cartridges such as the .22 Hornet, .22 K-Hornet, and .218 Bee. Featuring a 40 gr Round Nose Hornet profile, this bullet is engineered for muzzle velocities in the 2600 to 2900 fps range, and is rated to handle up to 3500 fps when used in more potent loadings.
The 1100 measures .223″ in diameter and is intended for a 1:16″ twist. Construction pairs a lead core with a copper jacket for rapid, reliable expansion on varmints and light-bodied game, with a Sectional Density of .115 and no cannelure. This is Sierra’s purpose-built Varminter profile, optimized for varmint hunting and small predator control where accurate, explosive terminal performance is required.
