Description
The Sierra MatchKing line is a legend in competitive and precision rifle shooting, and the 1742 continues that reputation for 6.5mm (.264″) cartridges such as the 6.5 Creedmoor. Each bullet is built around a precision copper jacket over a lead core, with no cannelure and a sectional density of .291.
The 142-grain Hollow Point Boat Tail (HPBT) profile uses the longer-ogive radius that distinguishes the 1742 from the lighter 140-grain 1740, producing a higher ballistic coefficient and reduced sensitivity to seating depth. The boat-tail base and hollow-point tip work together to deliver flat trajectories, consistent downrange performance, and the tight groups handloaders expect from a Sierra MatchKing.
Sold as 100 bullets per box, the Sierra MatchKing 1742 is purpose-built for target and match applications where bullet-to-bullet consistency is the difference between winning and just competing.
