Description
The SilencerCo AC142 ASR Muzzle Brake is a 3-port muzzle device purpose-built for 5.56x45mm NATO rifles. Machined from steel with a low-glare black finish, this brake serves as the dedicated anchor point for the SilencerCo ASR quick-detach mounting system, allowing the shooter to attach or remove a compatible SilencerCo suppressor one-handed on the gun and one-handed on the can.
Cut with the standard 1/2×28 thread pitch, the AC142 drops onto any rifle chambered in 223 Remington/5.56x45mm NATO that accepts the 1/2×28 shoulder pattern. Once timed and tightened, the brake functions as a stand-alone recoil-reducing muzzle device and as the interface for any SilencerCo suppressor equipped with the matching ASR mount.
The 3-port design directs propellant gas to mitigate muzzle rise and felt recoil, while the steel construction and corrosion-resistant black finish are built to withstand the heat and pressure of sustained 5.56 NATO use. Suppressor swaps are fast and repeatable, with quick-detach one-hand-on, one-hand-off attachment that lets the shooter move between suppressed and unsuppressed configurations without tools.
