The Smith & Wesson Model 637 Performance Center Enhanced Action takes the proven J-frame Chief’s Special Airweight platform and runs it through the Performance Center with a refined, smoothed double-action trigger for a noticeably lighter, crisper pull. It is built on a matte silver aluminum alloy J-frame with a stainless steel barrel and stainless steel cylinder, chambered in 38 S&W Special +P, and fed by a 5-shot cylinder. The combination of lightweight aluminum construction, a short 1.88″ barrel, and a compact 6.30″ overall length makes this 637 a purpose-built deep-concealment personal-protection revolver.
The Performance Center treatment enhances the action for both double-action and single-action fire, while an exposed hammer lets the shooter thumb-cock for a deliberate, lighter single-action press. Finger-grooved wood grips fill the hand and tame +P recoil, and the carry weight comes in at just 14.60 ounces. Sights are intentionally simple and snag-free, with an integral front blade paired with a fixed rear notch optimized for close-range defensive work.
Designed and built for personal protection and sport shooting, the 637 PC Enhanced Action carries the classic S&W internal lock system and ships from the Performance Center as a factory CA-compliant configuration.
