Description
The Trijicon HD XR Night Sights are a self-luminous 3-dot tritium night sight set purpose-built for the Springfield Armory XD, XD-M, and XD Mod.2 pistol platform. Designed with the evolving demands of law enforcement in mind, the HD XR combines a photoluminescent-painted front outline with a subdued “U” notch rear so the eye is drawn quickly to the front blade under stress and in low light.
Each lamp is a green tritium vial capped with a 2X brighter domed sapphire crystal that draws in ambient light and channels it back to the shooter’s eye for a vivid aiming point without batteries. The front sight carries a yellow photoluminescent outline around the green tritium lamp for fast acquisition, while the rear sight uses a green tritium lamp with a black outline set into a wide, snag-free “U” notch that won’t obscure the front blade. Tritium performance is backed by Trijicon’s 12-year warranty on the green lamps from the date of manufacture.
The sight set is built on a rugged steel housing finished in black, sized to 0.122″ wide x 0.200″ tall on the front blade, and installs as a direct replacement front/rear set for the listed Springfield XD-pattern slides. Professional installation is recommended. This configuration fits standard XD/XD-M/XD Mod.2 pistols and excludes OSP optic-cut models, which use a different sight footprint.
