The Troy Drop-In BattleRail 7″ is a two-piece, non-free-floating quad-rail handguard for carbine-length AR-15 and M4 rifles equipped with a round front handguard cap. It replaces the standard plastic handguards and is offered in New condition.
The assembly is machined from hardened 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum. Its established finish is anodized, specifically a black MIL-SPEC Type III hard-coat anodized finish. The 7″ carbine-length configuration maintains the familiar drop-in handguard footprint while providing an aluminum accessory-mounting platform.
Troy’s clamping design installs without replacing the rifle’s standard barrel nut, and no gunsmithing is required. Compatibility is specific to the established carbine-length AR-15/M4 configuration with a round front handguard cap.
Four MIL-STD M1913 Picatinny rails are positioned at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock locations for mounting compatible optics, lights, grips, sling hardware and other rail-mounted accessories. The handguard also incorporates four sockets for quick-detach sling swivels.
